The book also covers the events in Beyoğlu during the Great Beyoğlu Fire and the occupation of Istanbul, the stories of Istanbul's Levantines, the lives of famous architects who left valuable marks on Istanbul, and the emergence and development process of apartment buildings.

Along with the stories of over 80 buildings located on the four main arteries of Beyoğlu (Meşrutiyet Street, İstiklal Street, Sıraselviler and Cihangir District, Gümüşsuyu-Taksim district), the book takes readers on a journey through time into the lives of the families who lived in these buildings.
